CASA Kane County is a Guardian ad Litem (GAL), nonprofit volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of children ages birth to 21 in abuse and neglect cases within the juvenile court system. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. They are community volunteers supervised by our professional staff and appointed by the juvenile court judge to be the eyes and ears of the courtroom advocating for the voice of children in foster care. We believe all children in foster care should have a safe, nurturing, and permanent home where they can thrive with the support and involvement of their community.

April is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month and an opportunity for us to share our mission and educate the community on how we all can help. With 200 volunteers advocating for more than 650 children annually, CASA Kane County is one of the largest CASA programs in Illinois, serving 10% of the children across the state.

Light a spark that they can’t put out to Change a Child’s Story! By purchasing a CASA candle today, you will make a direct impact on a positive future for children in foster care. Because of you — the children will have a caring, trusted adult advocating for them, who is a constant in their lives—providing encouragement, support, and most importantly—a guiding light of hope!
